If you've been following my blog(s), you know that my husband and I live a relatively simple lifestyle because of choices that made early in our years of marriage, so I have a natural pull to read the book that I'm introducing you to today.Personally we have been blessed with a simple but good life, choosing to live in a small home surrounded by the beauty of God's creation, trees, lakes, and nature. We have raised our children with many a camping vacation, a wonderful way to economize and still have great fun. And through my small home business, were able to win trips so my children can say yes, they have been to Disney World, and hubby and I can say we've been to Hawaii, Acapulco and other places we may never have seen.
By living simply, in a smaller home, we feel we've done our part to preserve our natural resources, the oil bill is much lower than it could be, less electric, less everything...we live in a natural setting, so are naturally inclined towards "green living".
But when it comes to the "retiring early" part, well, we've not accomplished that, so we're really curious to know how Peter Lawrence did it.
If you are curious too, then I guess we should get a copy of The Happy Minimalist , which has received high marks by ForeWord CLARION Reviews, and read it for ourselves.

Claudia,
The simple life is a wonderful life! Congratulations! My hubby and I also follow you in the simple life.
This does indeed sound like a timely book. I am committed to do better on conservation, economizing, etc.
I recently discovered you on the WE magazine list of "101 Bloggers to Watch". (Heidi asked me to tell you she sent me.)
I think we could have lots to talk about. I'll be back.
Hi Betty and Beverly,

I like their way of living. since their way of living is simple and clean therefore they have a calm nature. I like these kind of organisms very much.
